Angel Fire Home

This 4-bedroom, 3-full bathroom home is located on 32 wooded acres with direct access to Carson National Forest land.  This Angel Fire home is a gem that allows you to feel secluded while you're only minutes away from the town of Angel Fire.  A picturesque drive through a mature Aspen grove takes you right to the front door.  You'll pass two ponds along the driveway, one which is spring-fed, that are perfect for wildlife viewing.

There are two garages on the property; one is a 3-car attached garage and the other is a 2-car with an extra covered outdoor space and is located about 100 yards from the front door.  This second garage is great for storage of equipment and ATVs.

The base of the exterior of the home is made of stones found on the property.  The owners' vision was to create a lodge look with cantilevered base.  They spent many days harvesting rock from the land to create this unique look.  Atop the stone base are rough cut cedar boards.  The standing seam metal roof offers low maintenance and an extended roof life.

Once inside this enchanting Angel Fire home, the large living space feels open and inviting.  Easy-to-clean, polished cement floors can be accented with colorful rugs and comfy furniture.  The tall windows flank an Anasazi-style stacked stone fireplace which was crafted by local artisan and silversmith Larry Herrera.  The fireplace inside the home shares a chimney with a separate chamber for the outdoor fireplace located on the spacious deck.  Both fireplaces are authentic masonry.

Hanging from the ceiling are handcrafted chandeliers made with iron and quartz crystal that emit a warm glow.  These earthy works of art and light were crafted by artisan Randy Broesche.

The main deck is inviting and allows plenty of space for entertaining or family gatherings.  With a spectacular view of Monte Verde Lake and Angel Fire Resort, it is sure to be a favorite spot for all.

The living space is open to the large kitchen which features an amazing view into the Spruce and Aspen forest.  Enjoy the birds, butterflies and elk strolling across the land.  A large island in the middle of the kitchen offers lots of space for cooking as well as entertaining guests.

The colors and textures flow easily from one room to the next with Sue Westbrook's talented and experienced eye for interior design.  From an authentic mesquite slab in one of the guest bathrooms to the Western Red Cedar paneling on the walls, this home is truly one-of-a-kind.  Her inspiration brought a unique piece to one of the guest bedrooms now lovingly called the "Dulce Room."  One of Sue's horses named Dulce had chewed up a rustic wooden fence and it was eventually replaced.  Seeing art and inspiration everywhere, she saved the fence and later created an enchanting and rustic headboard from it.  It became a charming addition to this extraordinary Angel Fire home.

The master bedroom offers a private office, a sitting area with a breathtaking view as well as two walk-in closets.  The master bathroom contains more artisan work with light fixtures made of selenite and crafted by the same artist who made the living space chandeliers.

Let's Play Tennis!

There are so many great ways to be involved in Angel Fire.  Sports are a strong tradition here, and one of our favorites is tennis.  Many people come to Angel Fire to beat the heat and humidity.  We've got the perfect weather to hit the courts just about any time of day.

The best way to play tennis is through Angel Fire Resort.  Members skip the court fee and you can bring a non-member friend for just $8.  Located at Olympic Park, just south of the Lodge at Angel Fire Resort on Highway 434 and near the Country Club, the Angel Fire Resort Tennis Center has six hard courts including two Pickle Ball courts for use by Resort members, guests and visitors to the Moreno Valley.

Coldwell Banker Headin' Home Realty's own Drew Maxwell plays tennis regularly and says it's a great way to meet new people, get exercise and contribute to a good cause.  In Angel Fire, we don't just play tennis, we play tennis to raise funds for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society which raises awareness for the public and helps families in need.

Angel Fire Resort has an experienced and talented Tennis Pro.  Brett Hall is entering his fifth summer as the Tennis Director at Angel Fire Resort.  He spends the rest of the year as Social Director and Teaching Professional at the Albany Tennis Club in Albany, Oregon.  He also coaches the boy’s high school team at West Albany High School.

He grew up in Texas and has worked as a tennis professional in the tennis industry for 38 years where he directed programs at a private club, corporate club, country club, and public tennis center in Texas, Arizona, and Oregon.  His tennis industry expertise includes facility management, sales, budgeting, marketing, and community service.  He specializes in innovative programming and fitness training for tennis players.  Brett has been a USPTA Elite Professional for 38 years and served as the president of the Southwest Professional Tennis Association in 1987.

Over a 35 year period, Brett has organized charity tennis events that have raised thousands of dollars for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the American Heart Association, and Special Olympics. He also instituted and administered community service tennis programs, including Special Olympics, programs for veterans, seniors and a 10 and Under program for the kids of veterans at the Salem Boy’s and Girl’s Club in Salem, Oregon.

Brett is a leukemia survivor. He and his wife Becky have raised over $14,000 in a two year period at his Texas Shootout Team Tournament at Angel Fire Resort.  The Texas Shootout was awarded the “Best Event Of The Year” by the Southwest USTA for 2014.  Brett was also honored by being awarded the 2015 Man Of The Year for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (Oregon and Southwest Washington Chapter) raising $30,000, the most of any male candidate.  He is very grateful for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society which funded the research for his life saving treatments. Brett’s lifelong mission is to raise funds for LLS with the hope that their valuable research will someday find a cure for all blood diseases.   He wants to inspire other cancer patients to turn their adversity into opportunity. He views cancer as the ultimate personal test which pushes you to the limit physically, mentally, and emotionally.  It’s how you react to the test that counts. Live life to the fullest by embracing your family, faith, and friends.

Brett’s teaching philosophy comes from the philosophy “A successful journey is the destination. Enjoy the fun, fitness and friendship benefits tennis has to offer for a lifetime.”
